This Week's Practice: List One Local Organization on a Resources Page
Welcome to this week’s edition of The 15-Minute Practice — a short, powerful tip to help you grow your private practice with clarity, one simple step at a time.
Your 15-Minute Action This Week
Choose one helpful local organization—like a support group, nonprofit, or wellness clinic—and add it to your website’s resources page.
What You'll Get
In 15 minutes, you’ll add a small but meaningful local SEO signal, and position your practice as a connected, community-minded resource.
1. Choose a local organization that aligns with your practice values and client needs
2. Find their website link and write a 1–2 sentence description (what they do, who they serve)
3. Add it to your site’s “Resources” or “Helpful Links” page — or create a new page if you don’t have one yet
Bonus: If the organization has a strong online presence, you may even get a backlink in return—especially if you let them know you’ve included them.
This Step's Purpose
Google uses local signals to determine whether your website is relevant to searches in your area. Linking out to trusted local organizations helps reinforce your location and niche—while also offering real value to potential clients. It’s a small but authentic way to serve.
Try It Today
Set a timer. Pick one organization. Add it with a short description and link. That’s it. A clearer signal to Google, a more helpful site for clients—and a stronger connection to your local community.
